From fce4e3e212d9d3689feca17a4159de783935f03c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jeff Wong Date: Mon, 18 Nov 2024 19:03:32 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] Update launcher script to download and call launcher rewrite download, checksum and use https://github.com/discourse/launcher support update arg to re-download launcher binary. keep most of the prereqs function in place. check for autocompletion and squelch output if we're calling autocomplete. Remove checks on config existence and config permissions. If we need this check it should go into the launcher app. update overlay check to include overlayfs which is what comes up on default latest docker on desktop versions --- launcher | 959 ++++++++++--------------------------------------------- 1 file changed, 164 insertions(+), 795 deletions(-) diff --git a/launcher b/launcher index 750ce3b..215ca3e 100755 --- a/launcher +++ b/launcher @@ -1,123 +1,48 @@ #!/usr/bin/env bash -usage () { - echo "Usage: launcher COMMAND CONFIG [--skip-prereqs] [--docker-args STRING]" - echo "Commands:" - echo " start: Start/initialize a container" - echo " stop: Stop a running container" - echo " restart: Restart a container" - echo " destroy: Stop and remove a container" - echo " enter: Open a shell to run commands inside the container" - echo " logs: View the Docker logs for a container" - echo " bootstrap: Bootstrap a container for the config based on a template" - echo " run: Run the given command with the config in the context of the last bootstrapped image" - echo " rebuild: Rebuild a container (destroy old, bootstrap, start new)" - echo " cleanup: Remove all containers that have stopped for > 24 hours" - echo " start-cmd: Generate docker command used to start container" - echo - echo "Options:" - echo " --skip-prereqs Don't check launcher prerequisites" - echo " --docker-args Extra arguments to pass when running docker" - echo " --skip-mac-address Don't assign a mac address" - echo " --run-image Override the image used for running the container" - exit 1 +DIRNAME=$(dirname "$0") +BINDIR="${DIRNAME}/bin" + +download_binary() { + echo "downloading launcher..." + package="${BINDIR}/launcher.tar.gz" + package_md5="${BINDIR}/launcher.tar.gz.md5" + + arch=none + case $(uname -m) in + aarch64 | arm64) + arch=arm64 + ;; + x86_64) + arch=amd64 + ;; + *) + echo "ERROR: unsupported arch detected." + exit 1 + ;; + esac + + os=none + case $(uname -o) in + Darwin) + os=darwin + ;; + GNU/Linux) + os=linux + ;; + *) + echo "ERROR: unsupported os detected." + exit 1 + ;; + esac + + curl -s -o ${package} -L https://get.discourse.org/launcher/latest/launcher-${os}-${arch}.tar.gz + curl -s -o ${package_md5} -L https://get.discourse.org/launcher/latest/launcher-${os}-${arch}.tar.gz.md5 + + tar -zxf ${package} -C ${BINDIR} + rm ${package} ${package_md5} } -# for potential re-exec later -SAVED_ARGV=("$@") - -command=$1 -config=$2 - -# user_args_argv is assigned once when the argument vector is parsed. -user_args_argv="" -# user_args is mutable: its value may change when templates are parsed. -# Superset of user_args_argv. -user_args="" - -user_run_image="" - -if [[ $command == "run" ]]; then - run_command=$3 -fi - -while [ ${#} -gt 0 ]; do - case "${1}" in - --debug) - DEBUG="1" - ;; - --skip-prereqs) - SKIP_PREREQS="1" - ;; - --skip-mac-address) - SKIP_MAC_ADDRESS="1" - ;; - --docker-args) - user_args_argv="$2" - user_args="$user_args_argv" - shift - ;; - --run-image) - user_run_image="$2" - shift - ;; - esac - - shift 1 -done - -if [ -z "$command" -o -z "$config" -a "$command" != "cleanup" ]; then - usage -fi - -# Docker doesn't like uppercase characters, spaces or special characters, catch it now before we build everything out and then find out -re='[[:upper:]/ !@#$%^&*()+~`=]' -if [[ $config =~ $re ]]; - then - echo - echo "ERROR: Config name '$config' must not contain upper case characters, spaces or special characters.
