This should make it much faster to find the right place to file issues, get help, find out whether upstream maintains an image, etc. I've done my best to represent each `REPO/maintainer.md` file appropriately, but I might have missed some (or there might be something else a maintainer prefers be listed there, either more or less descriptive, for example), which would be welcome contributions following this change. |

What is F#?
F# (pronounced F sharp) is a strongly typed, multi-paradigm programming language that encompasses functional, imperative, and object-oriented programming techniques. F# is most often used as a cross-platform CLI language, but can also be used to generate JavaScript and GPU code.
How to use this image
Start your application inside this image
The most straightforward way to use this image is to use it both as the build and runtime environment. In your Dockerfile, you can write something similar to the following:
FROM fsharp
COPY . /app
RUN xbuild /app/myproject.sln
This will copy your application source code into the image and use xbuild to build it.

Supported Docker versions
This image is officially supported on Docker version 17.04.0-ce.
Support for older versions (down to 1.6) is provided on a best-effort basis.
