This snippet was added in [docker@38ec5d8][1]. The intent was to indicate
that an empty value is equivalent to passing "default" as value. However,
passing the `--isolation` flag _without a value_ (i.e., no `=` specified)
will fail in many cases, as any string after it will be parsed as value
(e.g. `docker run --isolation busybox` would consider `busybox` as value).
This patch removes these lines as they add more confusion than addressing.

use current LTS versions of ubuntu where suitable, remove uses of
ubuntu:23.10 (which reache EOL), and and update some other examples
to use more current versions.

using latest ubuntu LTS, and alpine for some examples. Also syncing some
wording between the man-pages and online docs.

Some touch-ups in the attach reference and man-page;
- remove uses of old images (ubuntu 14.04)
- adds some more wording about `-i` and `-t` to use the detach sequence.
- use `--filter` instead of `grep` to list the container, to make the
example more portable.

The previous example was out of date. I changed the distro & pined the
tag to help prevent the new example from becoming out of date too.

The `ENV key value` form can be ambiguous, for example, the following defines
a single env-variable (`ONE`) with value `"TWO= THREE=world"`:
ENV ONE TWO= THREE=world
While we cannot deprecate/remove that syntax (as it would break existing
Dockerfiles), we should reduce exposure of the format in our examples.

There's little way of knowing what each exit status means at present
because it's not documented. I'm assuming they are the same as docker
run.

The `is-task` filter was only documented in the usage
section, but this section is not used in the documentation.
This patch adds the missing filter, synchronises the
man page source, and does some slight rephrasing
and reformatting of the filters.

Issue #30082 demonstrated that their is possible confusion with the "/."
where the tailing "." can appear to be merely punctuation within the
document rather than a highly pertinent part of `SRC_PATH`.
