Eric Anderson c42d5bbf2c Bump protobuf-gradle-plugin to 0.8.5 The version bump happened in some places already, but many references were missed. This fixes the following warning that shows up with newer versions of Gradle: > Using TaskInputs.file() with something that doesn't resolve to a File > object has been deprecated and is scheduled to be removed in Gradle > 5.0. gRPC Hello World Example (Android Java)

PREREQUISITES

Java gRPC
Android Tutorial if you're new to Android development
gRPC Java Android Quick Start Guide
We only have Android gRPC client in this example. Please follow examples in other languages to build and run a gRPC server.

$ cd ../..
$ ./gradlew install -PskipCodegen=true
$ cd examples/android

$ cd helloworld  # or "cd routeguide"
$ ./gradlew installDebug
