Kun Zhang 86d64122e5 Upgrade to Protobuf 3.5.1 and Protoc 3.5.1-1. (#3921 ) protoc-3.5.0-linux-x86_64 introduced GLIBC_2.14 dependency and broke gRPC release process (https://github.com/google/protobuf/issues/4138). 3.5.1-1 is the proper re-build.		2018-01-05 16:40:20 -08:00

gRPC Hello World Example (Android Java)

PREREQUISITES

Java gRPC
Android Tutorial if you're new to Android development
gRPC Java Android Quick Start Guide
We only have Android gRPC client in this example. Please follow examples in other languages to build and run a gRPC server.

$ cd ../..
$ ./gradlew install -PskipCodegen=true
$ cd examples/android

$ cd helloworld  # or "cd routeguide"
$ ./gradlew installDebug

Please refer to the tutorial on how to use gRPC in Android programs.
