Tools like cert-manager might encode private keys in PKCS8 format instead of PKCS1 in which case linkerd would fail as it cannot parse PKCS8 encoded private keys. With this commit support for parsing PKCS8 encoded private keys is added to linkerd, allowing it to read ECDSA and RSA keys encoded in PKCS8. Unit tests have been added to test the private key parsing. This commit addresses https://github.com/jetstack/cert-manager/issues/2942. Linkerd
🎈 Welcome to Linkerd! 👋
Linkerd is a service mesh, designed to give platform-wide observability, reliability, and security without requiring configuration or code changes.
Linkerd is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) project.
Repo layout
This is the primary repo for the Linkerd 2.x line of development.
The complete list of Linkerd repos is:
- linkerd2: Main Linkerd 2.x repo, including control plane and CLI
- linkerd2-proxy: Linkerd 2.x data plane proxy
- linkerd2-proxy-api: Linkerd 2.x gRPC API bindings

Quickstart and documentation
You can run Linkerd on any Kubernetes 1.13+ cluster in a matter of seconds. See the Linkerd Getting Started Guide for how.
