This metric is obtained by subscribing to [`GarbageCollectionNotificationInfo`](https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/jre/api/management/extension/com/sun/management/GarbageCollectionNotificationInfo.html) events provided by [`GarbageCollectorMXBean`](https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/lang/management/GarbageCollectorMXBean.html).
