根据 Istio 的[支持策略](/zh/docs/releases/supported-releases#supported-releases/)，在下一个 LTS 版本发布后的三个月内，将支持 1.7 LTS 版本。由于 [1.8 在 9 月 19 日发布](/zh/news/releases/1.8.x/announcing-1.8/)，对 1.7 版本的支持将于 2021 年 2 月 19 日终止。

届时，我们将会停止针对安全问题和关键性错误修复后的程序反向合并到 1.7 版本，因此我们建议您升级到最新版本的 Istio（{{<istio_release_name>}}）。 如果您不这样做，可能会在短时间内为了修复关键性错误程序而进行频繁的重大升级。
